Privilege Authority lets IT administrators grant selected privileges to users so they can update their own PCs, reducing help desk calls while maintaining a secure network. Elevate and manage user rights quickly and precisely with our Validation Logic targeting technology.   Use privilege elevation rules from the Privilege Authority Community Edition,  or create your own rules and allow administrator-level access to only the applications, Windows processes and ActiveX controls you deem safe.

Privilege Authority is developed and supported by ScriptLogic (a wholly owned subsidiary of Quest Software).

  • Elevation of Applications, Windows Processes and ActiveX Controls- Grant users permission to install software, make desktop changes, and install Active X controls that you deem secure.
  • Digital Certificate Verification and Support- Automatically elevate all of the applications from a specific publisher so that anything signed with that publisher’s certificate will be elevated.
  • Targeting of Rules Specific to a User, Computer, Group, Platform and Organization- Our Validation Logic technology targets access rights to any combination of users, user groups, organizational unit, operating system, computer group, office or application.
  • Easy Reporting on Elevated Privileges- Use single-click reports to audit privilege activities and comply with both internal policies and external mandates like USGCB/FDCC, PCI, SOX and HIPAA.
  • Community Rules Exchange and Technical Support-Maximize your investment by using or adding to the 100+ pre-existing rules in the Community Rules Exchange. Receive a full year of support by phone, email and web.
