Gil Kirkpatrick is Quest Software's chief architect for Active Directory and Identity Management products, and creator of The Experts Conference, which provides advanced education for experts, by experts, on all of the Microsoft identity and access technologies. Gil joined Quest in 2008 with the acquisition of NetPro Computing. At NetPro, he served as product manager, architect and development lead for the company's first Active Directory product, Directory Analyzer.

Prior to NetPro, Gil co-owned two different software development companies. He created The Experts Conference, then known as the Directory Experts Conference, in 2002.

Gil majored in computer science and electronics engineering at the University of California at Berkeley. He is the author of a book, “Active Directory Programming,” (MacMillan Publishing) and also has written articles for MCP Magazine, Windows IT Pro and TechNet.
