Before installing LiteSpeed
® Engine for Oracle, ensure your system meets the following minimum hardware and software requirements:

If using Symantec NetBackup, version 4.5 or later should be installed. .Net Framework 2.0 or above installed before you install the LEO on Windows platforms. |

Note: It is highly recommended that you do not use RMAN's compression when using LEO. Doing so may consume additional CPU without much (if any) compression benefit.
Note: It is highly recommended that you do not use RMAN's encryption when using LEO. Encrypting the data prior to compress will cause very poor compression.
Note: Hot and cold backups are supported via the command line interface.
